Velvac
Incorporated is a leading manufacturer and supplier
of components to the truck, recreational and specialty
vehicle industries. Opening its doors in Detroit, Michigan
in 1934 as the Vacuum Power Equipment Company, the corporate
name was changed to "Velvac" in 1940 to encompass its
Velvet Vacuum Brakes brand. The year 1947 saw another
change for Velvac, this one being a physical move from
Detroit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Twenty-five years later,
the company relocated to an industrial park in a community
just minutes west of downtown Milwaukee called New Berlin.
Today
Velvac is a multinational company with offices and primary
warehouse based in New Berlin and a manufacturing facility
located in Reynosa, Mexico.
Innovative
products, unsurpassed quality and exceptional service
position Velvac as today's leading manufacturer of rearview
mirrors and mirror products for the recreational vehicle
industry. For over 30 years, Velvac has designed and
manufactured products specifically for recreational
vehicles with emphasis on quality, styling and convenience
features that establish Velvac's reputation for adding
value to the recreational vehicle manufacturing process
as well as to the finished product. Value-added features
like easy installation, replaceable mirror heads and
glass, custom-fit wiring and a choice of finishes and
styles are the reason Velvac mirror products are found
on nearly all makes and models of recreational vehicle
owners and manufacturers now and in the future.
With
this long heritage and commitment to quality and service,
Velvac continually upgrades and expands its operations
and quality systems to improve customer satisfaction
and the reliability of its broad product line. Coupling
that with the written guarantee behind every component
offered gives the full picture of what Velvac stands
for:
