Signal® Mirror Systems

Available on Velvac Model 2030 bus mirrors and Model 2025 Class A mirrors, Signal® Mirrors are an enhanced mirror safety system that transform Velvac RV mirrors into highly visible signaling devices which help reduce blind spot hazards and minimize conflicts during lane changes.

Activated when the turn signal or emergency flashing systems are used, the Signal® Mirror's high intensity LEDs illuminate 180 times faster than incandescent lamps - a difference in stopping distance of 16 feet at 65 mph! Automatic light sensing adjusts LED intensity, supplying a brighter display during daytime hours to ensure a strong visual indication in direct sunlight. The patented dichroic glass allows the LEDs to pass through to produce an unobstructed view of the mirror's reflective surface when the signal is not in use. Designed to SAE J186 specifications and accepted by the California Highway and Safety Patrol as a supplemental lamp under the California Vehicle Code, the Signal Mirror's value as a safety device on oversized vehicles makes the payback on this option immediate to those safety-minded consumers.

Signal® Mirror glass is only one of the available safety and convenience options Velvac offers on its complete line of RV mirrors. Heated glass quickly dissipates fog and ice, while the remote control option simplifies mirror glass positioning and allows for quick, precise adjustments by each individual driver without leaving the inside of the vehicle. A highly visible turn signal light on the mirror arm ensures added safety when passing and cornering, the new VMax™ mirror head offers maximum visibility for those wanting a larger flat glass viewing area, while an optional top mount convex mirror provides an extra wide viewing area on a standard sized flat glass head.

The VMax™ Mirror Head

Velvac recently expanded its line of Model 2025 and Model 2030 mirror assemblies with the addition of a new, larger mirror head. The VMax offers maximum visibility with over 98 sq. in. of full flat glass and over 30 sq. in. of independently adjustable convex glass in a single mirror housing.

Designed to fit all current Velvac bus and Class A mirror arms, the VMax head offers superior viewing alongside large Class A motor homes and bus conversions. A variety of safety and convenience options are available on this new mirror head to meet a wide array of needs. Heated glass quickly dissipates fog and ice, the Signal¨ Mirror option reduces blind spot hazards thus minimizing conflicts during lane changes and the remote control option simplifies mirror glass positioning by allowing for precise, convenient adjustments from inside the vehicle. The color selection includes textured black, high gloss bright white and a triple plated polished chrome finish for a high quality, attractive appearance.
