American Coach just unveiled the 2016 American Eagle luxury motor coach at the RV Super Show, and have uploaded a new video presentation. The 1:48 video showcases the many enhancements to an already luxurious RV. At 0:29 and 1:22, the Velvac 2030XL mirror is showcased as part of their commitment to excellence and improved safety.

NTSB Issues Tractor-Trailor Safety Recommendations

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued several non-binding recommendations to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) asking that they take specific actions to enhance the safety of tractor-trailers.

Included among the recommended actions is a recommendation that NHTSA require all newly manufactured truck-tractors with GVWRs over 26,000 pounds be equipped with visibility enhancement systems to improve the ability of drivers to detect passenger vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists in their blind spots. Velvac Announces Acquisition of ViewMaster Product Line

Velvac, Inc., a leading manufacturer of components to the truck, bus, recreational and specialty vehicle industries, announced today that it has acquired the assets of the ViewMaster mirror product line from the former Mirror Lite Company. ViewMaster mirrors are used on vehicles in the refuse market, as well as other heavy and medium-duty trucks. Velvac now offers the refuse industry’s broadest line of rear-view mirror products, covering OEM vehicle applications for the full range of vehicles in that market.
