To our valued customers:
You may know that California recently adopted new regulations related to the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, commonly known as Proposition 65 (“Prop 65”). Prop 65 requires businesses to provide a “clear and reasonable” warning before knowingly and intentionally exposing anyone in California to a listed chemical through the sale of a consumer product. The new regulations change the warning requirements applicable to sales of consumer products manufactured after August 30, 2018.
As required by Prop 65, Cal. Health & Safety Code §§ 25249.5, et seq., and 27 C.C.R. § 25600.2(b), here you will find a list of Velvac products available for sale to you which may result in an exposure to one or more chemicals listed under Prop 65. This spreadsheet also states the appropriate warning language to provide to customers in California purchasing such products via the internet or hardcopy catalog. Please use this warning information for internet and catalog sales of the identified Velvac products after August 30, 2018 in accordance with Prop 65 requirements.
